For the smokey flavour - travelling tea merchants used to transport tea all the way across Russia, smokey teas were discovered after the campfire smoke would infuse into the tea leaves at night. Nowadays it's not campfire smoke, & much more controlled, but the story behind the smoky flavours inspire us still.

This tea took me slightly by surprise. I tried it black and brewed for probably slightly longer than advised but it was really delicious - it started out smooth with apple and caramel flavours really coming through and then got smokier with each sip. Definitely adding this one to my permanent collection!
