    Black tea | Medium caffeine

    Inspired by the ancient classic Russian caravan tea that got its smoky flavour from the old tea trade routes, and the caravans evening campfires along them.

    This is a pinewood smoked Lapsang Souchong black tea. Blended with Formosa Oolong sourced from Taiwan & Mao Feng Keemun sourced from China.

    How to make a hot tea

    • perfect loose leaf tea spoon

      Step 1

      1 tsp

    • tea brewing temperature

      Step 2

      Boil water to 100°

    • tea brewing time

      Step 3

      Wait 2-4 mins

    • hot cup of tea

      Step 4

      With or without milk

    How to cold brew tea

    • loose leaf tea in cold brew tea bottle

      Step 1

      Scoop 5-6 tsp into a bottle

    • Add cold water

      Step 2

      Add 750ml cold water

    • refrigerate for 4-6 hours

      Step 3

      Leave 4-6 hrs or overnight

    • Enjoy over ice.

      Step 4

      Pour over ice & enjoy!

    Excellently surprising!!!

    Came across a store front in Glasgow while visiting from the US and the staff was amazing! I love tea and after describing my tea preferences, I was directed to Smoky Russian. Three days later back at home I brewed it and it was amazing! So amazing, I logged onto the website to see about shipping to the US. Took the tea quiz and now I wish I had had more time to browse all the teas but Smoky Russian will be hard to beat!

    Like a dark brew by a bonfire

    I love this one, not least because it works really well with an almond milk and no sugar. Really different aroma to most teas, dark and smoky. Definitely a favourite.
