    How to make a hot matcha

    • Step 1

      1/2 tsp

    • matcha temperature

      Step 2

      Add splash of 80° water

    • bamboo matcha whisking step

      Step 3

      Whisk in a 'W' shape until frothy

    • Christmas matcha latte

      Step 4

      Top up with hot water or milk

    How to make an iced matcha

    • Step 1

      1/2 tsp

    • matcha temperature

      Step 2

      Add splash of 80° water

    Not the best

    This matcha just really misses for me, the honey flavour is very artificial and synthetic. It wipes any nice matcha flavour underneath as well, I struggle to finish a cup.

    The matcha itself is still smooth, blends well but the flavour of this particular blend is not particularly pleasant. And it isn't that I haven't given it a go, I've used half a tin in various methods trying to find a way that it doesn't taste quite so bitter and artificial.

    Delicious!

    Got this on release day at the Portobello Road store when I visited London. I really hope this won't be a limited edition flavour, because it's just so perfect. Creamy, sweet, smooth, while still having a strong matcha flavour! Love, love, love.
