lProduct Description

We named our amazing chocolate orange tea after our uncle Terry because it's his favourite. He's so fond of it he keeps telling people it's his. So we have to remind people it's not actually Terry's, it's ours! But with chocolatey cacao and fruity orange peel we can't really blame him!

dIngredients

Ceylon black tea, cocoa shells, apple pieces, rosehip, hibiscus, orange blossom, orange peel, calendula petals, sunflower petals, natural flavouring.

Warning: Packed in an environment that contains nuts.

Please check out our allergens page for any queries you may have regarding ingredients.

pBrew the perfect cup

1 heaped teaspoon per cup - 100° water - 4 mins - with or without milk (we recommend oat milk)

Very refreshing

I thought it would taste like a Terry's Chocolate Orange, but for tea this is better. The chocolate flavor comes through, but mildly, the orange flavour complements it beautifully, and the orange blossom makes it very refreshing.

Not for me, but it's a good idea... orange blossoms and cocoa shells!

When I saw this list of ingredients I was thinking “WHAT was Terry thinking?!?!” Chocolate, hibiscus, orange, apple, rosehips?!? The chocolate and orange is weird enough of a combo for me, but I've grown to love this pair over time. (because I tried an actual Terry's chocolate orange and actually liked it.) But hibiscus and chocolate and apple? I trust B&B and they have some really nice blends ... so I'll give it a try. After steeping for four minutes, the flavor really isn’t that bad. Maybe there wasn’t hibiscus in this teaspoon, but I didn’t taste any. There were equal hints of orange, chocolate all on a mild black tea base. I do wish B&B used a stronger black base, but that would probably take away from the flavors. The orange blossom petals are essential here though. There are hardly any blends that have orange blossoms OR cacao shells and both of them together is amazing. I think it would be an interesting no-caff option to just have orange blossoms mixed with cacao shells! I liked this one more than I thought I would, but it's not a favorite for me. ...Read more

Omnomnomnom

I liked this tea so much the second I started drinking it I came here to write a review. Tastes amazing with milk, also added a teaspoon of honey but not sure it was needed. Exactly like terry's

Delicious!

This is one of my new favourite teas. I wish I had bought it sooner!

Curdles with milk

Pouch says with or without milk. I have tried this with almond and oat milk and it curdles every time. It smells just like chocolate orange and was excited to try with plant milk for a creamy treat but it isn't possible. Without milk it's just like Bears Like Marmalade, which I already have.

Too Much Hibiscus...

Chocolate & orange is one of my favorite combinations, so of course I had to grab a 20g packet of this in my Bird & Blend order!

I’m not sure what they were thinking with this blend, to be honest. It’s too tart from the hibiscus and rosehips. In fact, it’s downright sour. I can taste some orange hidden behind the tartness. The chocolate is actually quite nice, it’s milk chocolaty and somewhat creamy.

So I feel like if they had just left out the stupid hibiscus, it would be a good tea.

I think next time I’ll try picking out the hibiscus and rosehips and see how it tastes then…

More orange than chocolate

I decided to try this because I loved the Chocolate Digestives tea so much. This wasn't what I was expecting. I suppose I was hoping for another sweet chocolate hit, but this one was more orange and citrus than sweet. It might suit others, but not what I was looking for.

It's mine!!!!

Warming, indulgent, moorish, try it to believe it.

Beautiful choc-orange tea

I adore chocolate orange, whether it be Terry's chocolate orange or Jaffa Cakes, so this was one of the first teas I ordered from Bird and Blend. When brewed straight there's a hint of orange (though to me it mostly tasted just like normal black tea). However when I added a little almond and coconut milk, the chocolate and orange flavours became much more noticeable. This has definitely become one of my favourite teas....Read more

Great for Chocolate orange fans!

I have bought this tea a few times and love that it smells and tastes just as described. It's like having a dessert in a cup! This may appeal more to those who love the combination of chocolate and orange as the aroma is quite strong! Overall a lovely drink to have after a meal or if you are looking for a treat that is guilt free!

Beautiful balanced flavours!

So I thought I'd try this tea as I no longer am able to eat sugar, including Terry's chocolate orange, and I miss it!
I was very pleased with this tea, the flavours are noticeable, yet subtle enough that it doesn't overpower the "tea" taste. A very nice substitute for the real thing amd completely free of refined sugar :) I would definitely recommend.

Chocolate fix

The name sums it up, it really does taste like choc orange. A perfect sweet treat without the calories of hot chocolate.

Give it a chance!

When I brewed the first pot, it was absolutely horrible. I did not give up, and the second was pure goodness. You can taste both orange and chocolate in it and it's amazing. I might have brewed the first round for too long!

Tastes better than it smells

I'm not a fan of cocoa (chocolate) in tea but this one sounded too good not to give it a try. I didn't like the smell of it but brewed according to instructions it actually tasted quite nice (i added a splash of milk and a little sugar).

Chocolate without the guilt

I love this tea made with whole milk - smooth and creamy and smells so delicious

More brilliant tea!

Jaffa cake in a cup

Jaffa cakes are my all time favourites and it is such a pleasure to try a tea with the exact same taste without feeling guilty ! Great tea for the afternoon. My friends loved it too.

witchcraft!

I don't understand it tastes like chocolate orange! It actually does. I bought a sample pack and am definitely buying more.
