No dipping required

Omg. Omg. Omg. It actually tastes like a choccy diggy. Yum. Had a touch of milk with mine. Loved.

Never had the source to compare the flavor, but this a DESSERT tea.

I have no idea what chocolate digestive cookies taste like. They seem to be a not-American cookie. However, this tea is lovely. It has a unique flavor… never tasted this in a tea before. It kind of takes over the cup and it’s also hard to describe. Both steeps tasted very similar, with only a hint of chocolate. It was mostly that added flavor — or possibly it’s a combination of all these odd ingredients that make it seem like an added flavor? The cardamom, cocoa, fenugreek and licorice. It tastes like none of these flavors, unless they all combine into a new super flavor. To me I can only describe it as DESSERT but it’s such a unique dessert flavor. I wish I could try the cookie to compare! However, though this base is Ceylon, it doesn’t seem like the older weak Ceylon that B&B used. This is a stronger, tastier Ceylon. Both cups were very dark and flavorful so I’m very happy about the new Ceylon!!
Steep #1 // 1 teaspoon for a full mug // 18 minutes after boiling // 2 minute steep
Steep #2 // just boiled // 4 minute steep

I was a bit sniffy about this whole chocolate tea thing... then I tried it.

I admit, until I tried it the thought of chocolate in tea made me pull a bit of a face. Then I tried it, first with the legendary "Snowball", which was as if you were drinking a cup of tea and eating a snowball at the same time. I admit I was wrong to be a bit sniffy about it. It was wonderful.r />
This is also wonderful - probably better if I'm honest. I'm now vegan, so don't get to do the "chocolate digestive dunked in tea" thing any more and this really does give you the whole taste sensation - and more - but without the gungy lumps of biscuit that fall off and land in your tea. And without the stodginess too.

Looking at the tea itself, its good quality tea with lots of other bits in but how they manage to get the flavour so correctly I do not know. It brews to a dark golden brown - it needs the full four minutes to brew but isn't spoiled if you give it longer. It also takes a second brewing without really losing anything - by the third its a bit insipid.

Not one to drink before you go to bed, it did keep me quite jiggly for the rest of the day....Read more

oh my wow. I bought a little sample to try because there's no way tea can taste like chocolate digestives, right? Well wrong, this tea tastes totally like chocolate digestives! I've since bought a full jar! favourite afternoon tea for that 2pm pick me up! Love it. highly recommended!

One of a kind

This tea is one of a kind, it smells and tastes beautiful. As soon as I opened the packaging and inhaled the sweet aroma I knew I would love it. I could taste the chocolate digestive and my partner said it tasted like Biscoff biscuits, we both thoroughly enjoyed it. It's comforting and perfect for those who love dunking biscuits in their tea!

A wintery Chocolate Vegan Delight

This yummy chocolate vegan tea is just what you need on a chilly winter night. Froth up some oat milk, add a little of your favourite sweetener and sprinkle some cocoa and cinnamon! Pure heaven in a cup! An absolute must:^)

Smooth and smokey

This is a very smooth tea, with just a hint of sweetness and smokiness. I really enjoy it as a strong brew with a splash of almond milk. A good accompaniment to breakfast, or second breakfast.

Definitely a sweeter cookie

The chocolate is the real standout here, though I will admit to being a bit thrown by the liquorice flavor. I imagine it's there to bring about the biscuit flavor, but it's not overly for me. I do enjoy the tea though.

Did taste like chocolate biscuits!

Yes, loved this tea, lovely with milk and helps curb a craving for a biscuit! I have without sugar. Would order again.

Worth trying

I wasn’t sure what to expect with this blend, but really like it as mid afternoon cup of tea with a biscuit or two!

Cardamom?

I admit to being a bit confused by the ingredients in this tea. Cardamom? Licorice? Fenugreek? Isn’t a chocolate digestive just a rather plain round biscuit dipped in chocolate? I guess I don’t understand where the spices come in…

Steeped, it smells supremely biscuity, with a dark brown sugar caramel aroma.

Hmm… Well I do like it. There’s definitely good biscuit flavor, and a big dollop of caramel on top. But the cardamom is quite strong, and I don’t really understand the connection between it and chocolate biscuits… So that leaves me a bit confused. I also don’t really get any chocolate to speak of.

So I like it, but am also perplexed. LOL!

Delicious!

This product really did taste like chocolate digestives; one of my favourite foods anyway!

The first tea to make my mouth actually water!

So the moment the lady in the Nottingham shop took the lid off the tea so I could smell this tea I fell in love. I can honestly say that this is the first tea that has ever made my mouth water. I first tried this tea in January and I have now drank through a large supply of it!! Everyone that I have shared some of this with have also liked it!

Spicy, sweet, chocolately, Christmassy sort of flavour

I bought it to replace another tea I like which was being discontinued - I only have a couple of packs of the old tea left, so it was urgent.

Well, so far I have been drinking this one! I am not a tea aficionado so I can't go into all the flavours and blendy details, but if you think of a sort of spicy sweet chocolate Christmassy sort of a flavour. It took me a couple of goes to get the quantity right (grr, no I didn't buy a tea measuring spoon) and I brewed it for 4 minutes as suggested. I drink it in the afternoons and evenings (otherwise I would have none left).

I can't go mad and buy loads of teas from here because I'm on a pension now,(I would if I could though) but I am planning which flavour to try out next, as well as to replenish my Chocolate Digestives stocks.

I also think it's better than actually eating chocolate digestives if like me you go to slimming club.

One for me, not for my girl

I liked this as a bit of a treat tea. I did buy it for my daughter, and she was not so keen at all as it wasn't sweet enough for her.

An Interesting One!

Very interesting flavours... definitely reminiscent of chocolate digestives and actually quite delicious - but there's something else there (the cardamom maybe?) which adds a slightly spicy/floral note which distracts from the chocolate biscuit flavour. Not exactly what I was expecting but still a nice cup of tea.

I didn't need biscuits with this tea.

I was surprised at how amazing this tea was, I was a bit weary of chocolate tea, but it tastes beautiful and has a really good aroma that's just like a digestive biscuit!

Nice enough but could be better

This tea is nice but not great - I bought it after reading the rave reviews but in my opinion it didn't quite live up to them. It does taste of a chocolate biscuit, but for a black tea was quite weak, even after a long brew with a generous spoonful. There was also another flavour in there somewhere - maybe the fenugreek or cardamom (?) - which I wasn't keen on. Not my favourite chocolate tea sadly....Read more
