A warming cuppa for Sydney winters

I first enjoyed this with my brother on a 'staycation' in Sydney's Whale Beach several weeks ago, just as the last days of winter started to give way to our lovely spring. Loved the aromas and smoky flavours. A stronger caramel kick would definitely not go unappreciated :)

A treat!

This tea definitely isn't for everyone, but as a lover of both Lapsang Souchong and dessert-teas, I felt like this was a must for me. I was absolutely not disappointed. It's a perfect combination of smokey and sweet, and every sip has me coming back for more.

The perfect tea for autumn

I wasn't sure how I'd feel about Bonfire Toffee, as I find Lapsang Souchong can be quite overwhelming. I needn't have worried though, because the smokiness is balanced out nicely with the other flavours and just adds to the warming feel of this tea. There's a wonderful caramelised apple note which comes through and pairs extremely well with the smoky black tea. I like to add a splash of oat milk and some honey to mine, but its great on its own also. The perfect tea for chilly autumn days....Read more

The Perfect Bonfire

When I first tried it I wasn't really sure about it, but the more I tried it - the more I started loving it. Now it's become one of my number one go-to teas to get from BBT! The smokey apple flavour is really pleasent, and although it might remind you of a calm day in autumn, I enjoy it with all seasons now!

Fall in a cup!

This is a lovely tea. It’s not as strong as I expected but I love the slightly fruity and smoky flavors in it.

Bonfire Toffee !

Thanks for this marvelous tea, harbinger of autumn, melting in the tea pot like chocolate on the tongue.

Interesting and smoky

A friend recommended this to me, so when I bought the five-pack pick n'mix, I made sure to include this one. I love it! Very interesting and smoky, and a little fruity too - guessing that's the apple. I can't taste the caramel too much, but then I often can't without dumping some kind of sweetener in there so that's my own fault. Definitely give it a go!

I really enjoyed this one. Different to anything i have tried before and definitely one for winter.

Perfect for Autumn

A perfect tea for autumn. Warm and cosy, yet refreshing.

Another favorite!

Another beautiful tea from B&B!! The scent is amazing and the flavor doesn’t disappoint. It is perfect for a chilly autumn day (and any other day you happen to have some on hand!).

Smoking Brew

I was given a sample of this brew to try! My friend Elaine is the culprit!!

She said I would love it! And I do!!

This brew is smokey with the back note of toffee and is fast becoming one of my go to afternoon brews!

If you like strong flavour give this one a go!

Candy in a cup (without the sugar)

I wasn't sure what to make of the combination of ingredients in this blend, but I'm glad I decided to order based on the promise of the name. It tastes very much like a slightly smoky toffee , wonderful with a bit of milk.

The smell of smokey apple

The smell of the tea - both in the packet and in my cup - really lures me in and reminds me of autumn. The brew it for a bit longer than recommended, but it doesn't get bitter, and leaves a lovely aftertaste of apple. A great start to the day for me!

Not flavourful enough

There was not enough flavour in this blend and I found it tasted a lot like regular tea which wasn't what I was looking for.

Afternoon brew

a great new variation on the smoked teas i love int he afternoon. The sweet notes allow me to go sugar-free

A Unique Drink!

I didn't know what to expect from this - especially for it to not actually smell and taste like a bonfire! But in the most pleasant way. It's smoky, appley and toffee-y! Really warming and cosy, especially great in Autumn/Winter, but it could be interesting iced too!

A special blend, fruity and and a little bit of smoke. i love it :)

Essential tea alert! Egads, I am in love with this one.

I’d call this caramel apple rather than toffee. It has a sweet apple flavor with caramel. The black tea base in this blend is a little stronger than the usual black blend from B&B which gets points from me alone. I don’t want to call it tangy or astringent, but it isn’t smoother. The second steep had more of that caramel apple flavor rather than the black tea… I’m not sure how that was possible! It’s just perfect. And I have to give B&B credit for their blends being very consistent over the years – this seems almost exact to past batches I’ve had over the years. The perfect briskness with a heaping teaspoon for a mug with sweet hints of caramel and apple. The color of the cup is fittingly a caramel color. Cinnamon will pop up when I steep at a full boil later. One of my favorites from B&B. I’m very glad Bluebird sent me some of those free samples when they first started out....Read more

Delicious tea for winter

I tried Bonfire Toffee tea for the first time in the autumn. I wasn't sure I would like it as I didn't used to enjoy Lapsang tea in my younger days, but it sounded delicious and I am so glad I did, because I am now hooked on the smoky, fruity caramel flavour. I drink it strong with just a dash of almond milk . I ordered several sachets for friends as Christmas gifts and a caddy as a new year treat for myself. It is often the first tea I reach for on cold mornings (and believe me I have a lot of teas to choose from!). Definitely recommended!...Read more

Strong delicious flavour

Lovely smokey / caramel taste. Strong flavour, so don't need to use much for a good cup.
