What data do we use and how?
We only use the personal data you have given us to provide the service that you require e.g. delivering your order or setting up your Tea Club Subscription, or if we judge it is in your legitimate interest to contact you in order to further assist you or give you information that you may find useful or interesting.

If purchasing something from us we use the data you give us, such as your address and name, to complete your order and provide the best service.
We use a secure third party to process your payment information. We do not have access to, or store your payment information ourselves. We are PCI compliant and we do not store your credit card information. It will be processed by either Paypal or Braintree. Both of these providers have their own privacy policies which we encourage you to refer to to find out how they use your data.
When you browse our website, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.
If you set up an account on our website we will store your name, address, email, telephone number and order history. Our website is secure (HTTPS / SSL) and all passwords are encrypted.
If you have purchased from us we may send you emails about our business, new products, offers and other updates. You can read more about how we handle data to deliver our email newsletters below.
As an independent, growing business we also use some of your order data internally to learn more about our customers buying patterns and other product mix so we can improve our product development and customer experience. Once we have used this data we delete it, or store it securely and we never give it to anyone outside of our teams.
Our emails are thoughtfully designed to be relevant and interesting to you. Each week we’ll send you information about our events, business news and new collections and recipes you may be interested in. Occasionally we will send more than one email a week, but this is very rare.
You can join our email newsletter the following ways:

- Signing up either through our ipad sign up app or on paper at an event we are at
- Signing up through our ipad sign up app in store
When you set up your account or purchase online we email you order information and then follow up with thoughtfully crafted emails containing the things we think you might want to know, based on your purchases. E.g. recipe ideas, discount codes for the website, future similar products or demo events in store.
As a member of our Tea Club Subscription service, we will also add your email to our Tea Club newsletter list so that we can communicate about your membership benefits and services. Please be aware that if you decide to unsubscribe, you may not hear about all aspects of your membership.
If you wish to change, update or unsubscribe from our email newsletter you can do so at any time using the link at the bottom of our emails or by contacting us on the above details.
As a member of our subscription service, we need to retain the data you give us and allow our team access. We will keep hold of this data for the duration of your subscription, unless otherwise requested.
Upon cancellation, we may retain a limited amount of information for two years unless otherwise instructed. As well as other legal and accounting purposes, this is to allow us to provide the best service to you if you re-join and to allow us statistical insights into our subscription cycles.
Your payment details are processed and stored by our payment provider, Braintree. All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
