Treacle Sponge tea latte

Learn how to make our in-store special, the delicious Treacle Sponge tea latte! It's made with our limited edition autumn blend, Treacle Sponge (and yes, it really is as tasty as it sounds).
This yummy latte was created by our talented Tunbridge Wells Teabird, Zac!
What you will need:
- 2 Perfect Tea Spoons of Treacle Sponge
- A milk of your choice (we have found that dairy works best for this recipe)
- Half of a Perfect Tea Spoon of honey
- Half of a Perfect Tea Spoon of vanilla extract
- A mug
What to do:
1. First, you need to get 2 Perfect Tea Spoons of your Treacle Sponge tea and brew for 3 minutes in 80-degree water. You should definitely use our handy Brewdini, as it is the easiest way to brew any loose leaf tea!
2. When the tea has brewed, pour it into your mug, ensuring you leave enough room for your milk! Now add half a Perfect Tea Spoon of honey and vanilla essence to the tea and give it a nice stir. Then set your mug aside for a minute.
3. The next step is frothing your milk to turn your tea into a latte! Gently heat and froth your milk and pour this over your tea - make sure you get a big dollop of foam on top!
4. You can now give your latte a good stir and sprinkle it with nutmeg (if you want- this part is optional)
5. Enjoy!
Everything you need for this recipe:
Our Brewdini gravity steepers are perfect for making iced teas without any mess- or if you want to leave your tea overnight to steep, you can experiment with a Cold Brew Bottle.
